Charlie and Vivian have been missionaries to Brazil since 1972 and presently serve as professors in the Portuguese language at the Northern Evangelical Christian Seminary (SCEN), a bachelor’s level Bible college on the northern coast of Brazil.  SCEN has a student body of 90 and prepares dedicated young people for ministry in the pastorate, Christian education, and missions.  Charlie teaches systematic theology and Bible, and also serves as vice-director of the school and Christian service director.  Vivian is the librarian and teaches music theory.  The Stoners also serve their local church in a variety of ministries including teaching Sunday school, providing pulpit supply (Charlie), and ladies ministries (Vivian).
